Resumen
We have elaborated an urban numerical air pollution dispersion model based in the Gassian formulation. The fixed sources have been considered point sources when the emision rate is high and emiting by means of chimeny stacks clearly above urban roughness, and forming area sources when emision rate is low and the emision takes place in the skyline of the roughness. The mobile sources are constituted by automobile emissions and are treated by the model like line sources. The model has been used to calculate the contribution of each type of source to the urban pollution of Valencia by SO2, suspended particulate, NOx and Pb. The results obtainedd were validated by means of field measurements of pollutant concentrations. Actually, the model is used to determine the best siting of new monitoring stations.
